May 2023: Healing the World: The Leadership of Young Indigenous Dancers During the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Americas

On May 12, 2023, Pole-to-Pole lead researcher, Dr. Déborah Maia de Lima, participated of the Dance Studies Association’s 2023 Conference symposia: Movement, Mobility, Reciprocity – Radical Acts of Translation: Mobilizing Reciprocities Across Bodily Arts. This talk exposed the leadership of Indigenous girls and women in the Americas and their efforts to contribute to healing the world through their dances.
